The pump drive system is the heart of BearCat’s Seal Coat Spreader Technology, controlled by our industry leading CRC control system. The new CRC used in the BC502-SC is designed to be more accurate, easier to set up, easier to use and easier to read your results than ever before.

  • Tri-Valve Manifolds

The BC502-SC’s tri-cylinder Poppet Valves have no external parts, meaning they are easier to maintain and operate. The Internal poppet spray valves are immersed in a seal coat, providing instant spray when the valves turn on. Furthermore, outside asphalt and road grime build-up does not affect the fully enclosed system. Rugged construction with no requirements for adjustments.

  • Computerized Rate Control (CRC)

We maximize efficiency, automation, and control with the BC502-SC’s advanced computerized rate control (CRC) system. The CRC can be accessed from the cab or side control, and includes features like:

  • All spread, circulate and load functions
  • The correct asphalt valve is automatically opened or closed, keeping the operator away from the rear of the truck during this part of operations.
  • The taper switch allows the operator to perform a complete taper cut from one side of the spray bar to the other with the use of one toggle switch.
  • Ready switch: Up to one minute before you are ready to start spreading, toggling the ready switch will allow the CRC to calculate the required pump speed and get the pump to the proper speed, preventing flooding or streaking.
  • GSY selection to the tenths.
  • On-board diagnostics.
