PARTS INVENTORY SPECIALIST

Reports to: Corporate Parts Manager
Purpose
The Parts Inventory Specialist is responsible for assisting with overall management of parts inventory throughout the dealership while helping improve processes, assist in projects, and be able to help cover Parts Departments throughout the company. Must have a motivation to learn about other parts of the company and to utilize this knowledge for improved parts processes to increase efficiency and sales.
Responsibilities

Administrative 

  • To Maintain department communication with Parts Managers at each location to help complete work and grow parts sales.
  • Utilize various computer programs and John Deere communication tools as resources.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area and appearance.

Parts 

  • Assist in looking up, quoting, and invoicing parts for customers and internal departments.
  • Assist in managing parts inventory for all brands.
  • Handle day to day operation of Brooks Tractor Parts E-Commerce platform.
  • General understanding of parts identification, layout drawings and blueprints and/or schematics.
  • Enter parts into Dealer Business System with details.
  • Act as coverage for Parts Departments throughout the company when need arises. (10-15% travel required)
  • Maintain current knowledge of Company and competitor products.
  • Assist with other duties assigned and directed by corporate management within the framework of Brooks Tractor Inc’s objectives.

  • Ability to work well with others to accomplish parts-related goals (inventory management, purchasing, sourcing, order entry, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge using computers and computer programs. (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Experience with business systems a plus.)

  • Able to communicate effectively as appropriate for the needs of customers or coworkers.

  • Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete then under time constraints.

  • Able to adapt to new technology quickly and troubleshoot basic problems.
  • Ability to analyzing and interpreting data and reports.
  • Valid driver’s license required.


Education/Work Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Prior parts experience is a plus.
